Frequently Asked questions

What are your hours?
Appointments are available Monday-Friday by appointment. Saturdays limited to group family portraits.

Our calendar books out 8-9 weeks come May for full graduation or family sessions. Headshots, we can be quite flexible.

What should we WEAR?
Do not feel as though you need to wear a uniform. Each person has a personality. Feel free to pull a bit of that out in their outfit! Avoid large patterns, cool toned skin looks great in jewel tones. Wearing khaki on the bottom and navy on top draws attention downward and away for your face. Kari will help walk you through this process. Details down to makeup and shoes are important. Makeup should be applied a little heavier than normal with making sure to avoid glitter or metallic colors. If shoes are black or brown, then the shoes should match, though we love bare feet! Kari will help you with a color palette custom tailors and complimenting for every body type. We’ll help you start to finish so you look your very best. Feel free to text or e-mail options before hand.

Do you travel outside of the Wisconsin Rapids area?
Yes, absolutely! Our fee depends on the location of your session/event. Do not feel that your session should be limited to this area. We love to travel and are willing to go to your favorite location of choice to make the experience special.

Do you have back up equipment?
Absolutely! We carry two sets cameras and lighting systems.

Retouching?
Yes. All images ordered 5x7 and larger will include a light retouching of under-eye circles and facial blemishes. Moles, scars, and birthmarks are left in as it is part of your skin personality unless requested to be removed. Our retouching is light enough that you look like a fresh version of yourself, not plastic. Braces, fixing eyelashes, clothing color swaps and slim downs are done upon quote.

Are digital files included?
We DO offer digital negatives for those that would like to have them for archival or scrap booking purposes. Prices vary on family, children, or mini sessions. We also sell beautiful coffee table books and have ways to obtain many of your favorites. However, any image ordered is available for social media purposes to you for FREE! When you commission a photographer to take your portraits, the negatives remain in their name as they were created by that individual. Quality over quantity is our key motto when creating treasured heirlooms.
